Discussion on Dates—since June was poorly attended last year the group thought it might be best if we offered PD on two different weeks in August but the same offerings (for the PD that is highly suggested).
Suggested Dates:
August 8 & 9 (Wednesday and Thursday)
August 13 & 14 (Monday and Tuesday) Primary PD Focus
Study Island/Assessment—would like to have SI Presenters (half day at Primary/half day MS HS)
Middle School and High School Focus
Blackboard—thought perhaps you would what a “model” blackboard class should like and that would be the focus for Bb training. Learn 21 Presenters
Study Island—SI Presenters
Google Docs/Dropbox or Box.Net/Office365-----depending on which way you think we will be going. SOITA Presenters.
Middle School Additional
DynaCal—for scheduling labs. (Kris Back) or (Kris if she has time she can train me then we could do it jointly.
Open to All
Cowboy Tube (Karen & Kris)
Discovery Education (Karen & Kris)
Outlook---SOITA Focus on Personal Production Tools—Outlook, Distribution Lists, Shared Calendars
Weebly for Primary Teachers (Jane and Jen)
VuSafe—for Youtube Videos—I guess this is free—one of us would need to learn it to teach it.
Video Lab Classes— (Karenand Kris)
Web 2.0 Tools—Jen, Jane, Karen, Kris
Blended Learning—outside presenter (Ashland College Offering Courses)
We may want to send out a concise list of offerings both online, webinars and offsite. That way they can do some learning on their own if they so desire.
